What is UTAS?

UTAS is a student organization for, but not limited to, Anthropology and Archaeology undergraduate students. Our goal is to explore related disciplines, as well as learn about research projects and methods that will enhance our own experience as Anthropologists and Archaeologists.

In addition to UT Anthropology faculty, we host guest lecturers from other UT departments and outside the University. Our popular faculty panels address such topics as "Careers in Anthropology" and "Preparing for Graduate School". Additionally, UTAS hosts social gatherings throughout each semester and participates in campus-wide events such as "Explore UT".

What is Lambda Alpha?
Lambda Alpha is the Anthropology honors society. It's purpose is to encourage and stimulate scholarship and research in Anthropology by recognizing and honoring superior achievement in the discipline among students, faculty and other persons engaged in the study of Anthropology.
