URGENT: High School and Elementary School Latin Teachers Needed

Male High School in Louisville, Kentucky is in need of a certified Latin teacher, effective immediately--they need to find someone within 20 days. If they are unable to find a certified person, they would consider a qualified person who could finish out the year, and possibly keep the position if s/he were able to earn certification over the summer. They will also need someone in the fall, and there are no applications in the pipeline; so, a certified person who could start now could also continue in the fall.

Male is a "traditional" magnet program in the Jefferson Co. school system; Brad Harlow, the other teacher there (Judy Thomas has now retired) says that this is an excellent job: a great school with great students. I have had Male HS alumni in my classes at Georgetown College & they are very well prepared.

Anyone who is interested should contact the Jefferson County HS personnel office: (502)485-3356. If you'd like to learn more about the job from Brad, you can all him at home at (502)495-1783.

This is a terrific program and the survival of this position depends on their being able to find someone! Please feel free to forward this to anyone you think might be interested. The school will also list the job with the ACL's service.

Wait, there's more! Also for Fall '07, Jefferson Co. is seeking Elementary-level Latin teachers for a new program. The contact person is Thomas Sauer
