Latin instructor needed at SMU, Dallas

Adjunct Professor- teaching two courses of Latin in the fall semester, 2005, and two courses of Latin in the spring semester, 2006. The salary for each semester is $7,000. Experienced Latin teachers and students completing graduate degrees in Classics are welcome to apply. Additional Information: Berean Academy is a 10-year old, 200-student (and growing), evangelical Protestant school that focuses on classical languages and literature. Latin instruction begins in 3rd grade, so that this teacher can have students working in The Aeneid in 10th grade. Must be willing to sponsor JCL. Austin ISD- part-time Latin position

Austin ISD has a part-time Latin position for next year. The position is
at Kealing Middle School in central east Austin. It involves 2 classes of
Latin, a Latin 1A (seventh grade) and a Latin 1B (eighth grade). The
district uses the Cambridge Latin series. Kealing is both a magnet school
and a neighborhood school. Certification in Latin is a requirement;
certification in another subject may enable the position to be made into a
three class position which would involve benefits, health and otherwise. A
qualified teacher, as well as a certified teacher, who is willing to
sponsor club activities, such as the Junior Classical League, is being
sought.
