The Latin Placement Service in the Classics Department at the University of Texas at Austin posts Latin teaching positions in public and private schools all over Texas and in nearby states. We also notify Latin teachers on our list who may be seeking employment.

Latin Teacher (Vacancy Announcement)

A private, middle-school for girls in beautiful Charlottesville, Virginia, is seeking a Latin teacher to begin work with the 2005-06 school year. All students in the school (Grades 5-8) are required to take Latin. The school uses the Ecce Romani series, and under normal circumstances the girls complete Books 1 & 2. The school is a small, collegial environment in an attractive urban location.

Location: Charlottesville, VA

Work Begins: August 2005

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Latin, excellent communication skills, enthusiasm for work with middle-school students.
