The Latin Placement Service in the Classics Department at the University of Texas at Austin posts Latin teaching positions in public and private schools all over Texas and in nearby states. We also notify Latin teachers on our list who may be seeking employment.

Latin Teacher (Vacancy Announcement)

A private, non-denominational, college-prep school in northern Virginia is seeking a middle-school Latin teacher to commence work August 2005. In addition to teaching several sections of Latin, the teacher will be expected to participate in the full spectrum of school life (e.g., coaching, supervising activities).

Location: Northern Virginia (1 hour from Washington, DC)

Work Begins: August 2005

Requirements: Bachelor's degree with major or minor in Latin or Classics. Excellent communication skills. Enthusiasm for working with middle-school age students.
