St. Anthony Catholic High School, a division of the University of the Incarnate Word, seeks a Latin Teacher to begin August 3, 2009. St. Anthony Catholic High School is a private, college preparatory, Catholic co-ed high school of approximately 450 students. The teacher will report to the Principal and Vice Principal of St. Anthony.
Essential duties: Instructor of Latin. Serve as an advisor to 15-17 students. Attend after school faculty meetings, evening parent meetings and Open Houses as requested. Sponsor or coach at least one activity or sport. Support the mission of the school and the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree with at least 18 credit hours in Latin.
The Archdiocese of San Antonio requires non-certified teachers to have 12 hours of education. Faculty hired without the 12 hours are placed on a deficiency plan and must obtain the 12 hours within two (2) years. Texas certification must be completed within two (2) years.
