Light Kit Rental Service

So the new UFA light kit is dropped off at Pro-tape. Yay! There are a couple things you should know before you go rent: You must be an UFA member to rent UFA equipment. Meaning you need a card from the treasurer. If you paid your dues you should already have one. It costs $7.50 to rent it out. The max rental time is 3 days, but if you need it for more, contact an UFA officer. Any damages to the light kit, or bulbs that go out are your responsibility. Specs: Lowell light kit with (2) 50W Omnis and a 250W Tota. 2 umbrellas, 3 stands, and a gel kit. It does not come with a set of gloves, stingers, clips, gaff tape, or any grip gear. UFA News Functioning (Sorta)

The University Filmmakers Alliance is a registered student organization at the University of Texas Austin. The organization is open to all UT students and encourages them to create films with fellow students. UFA was founded in 1997 when several Radio/Television/Film students felt they were not given enough experience by the department. Over the years, many students aspiring in film have met and created movies together, received internships or jobs, and have become acquainted with industry professionals.

UFA hosts JumpCut Film Festival and Conference every year in April. For Conference, UFA brings industry professionals from Hollywood to give workshops on campus. The JumpCut Festival is judged by those same people.
