Any group that reserves a room in the Texas Union will be expected to obey the following guidlines. If you have read them and agree click the appropriate button to proceed to the reservations form

Texas Union Special Restrictions Information

1. Any hand held sign or distribution of handbills is not allowed in the building. Texas Union staff must approve any promotional material placed outside of a room.
2. As per University regulations, smoking is prohibited in The Texas Union and within 20ft of the building entrances.
3. Any use of confetti, glitter, sand, hay, rock salt, silly string, dance powder of any kind including corn starch, and related materials is not allowed in the Texas Union building.
4. Any dancing activities deemed unsafe by Texas Union staff are not allowed; examples include but are not limited to stage diving and mosh pits.
5. Texas Union staff will determine appropriate sound levels for all amplified sound.
6. Animals are not allowed in the building, with the exception of service animals.
7. As per University regulations, bicycles, skateboards and roller skates are prohibited in the building.
8. Texas Union Food and Alcohol Policies (see Texas Union Policies and Procedures Handbook pages 16 & 17) as well as any UT Operating Procedure,
   Regent’s Rule or law regarding alcohol consumption will be strictly enforced.
9. The cancellation policy in Texas Union Policies and Procedures Handbook pages 9 & 10 , will be strictly enforced. If you "No-show" or do not cancel a reservation in the Santa Rita Room or Ballroom at least 2 weeks in advance you will be charged a $100.00 fine. In any other room you must cancel at least 2 days in advance, if this is not done a $10.00 fine will be charged.
10. Damage to the building, whether accidental or intentional will not be tolerated.
11. Using decorations not approved by Reservations will not be allowed. Decorations and signs can be attached to surfaces using special putty, which is available
    in the Campus Store, or blue painter’s tape.
12. Burning anything in the Texas Union is prohibited; including the use of candles, any open flame; as well the use of fog and smoke machines is not allowed.
13. Painting or construction of any kind is not allowed in the building.
14. No weapons of any kind (real or facsimile) are allowed in the building; this includes performance canes, sticks, shafts or any elongated object that can be used as a weapon.
15. Gambling of any nature is prohibited within The Texas Union.
16. Solicitation or sales of any kind will not be allowed in The Texas Union; including auctions of any kind.
17. Exceeding occupancy limits of any room is not allowed.
18. Remaining in the building after closing without special written permission from the Director, the Associate Director of Operations, or the Assistant Director for Building Administration is not allowed.
