The Town Meeting Planning Committee is switching all communications from @ACQUEST to a new list called Town-Meeting. The new list makes it easier for the committee to post announcements (e.g., upcoming meetings and minutes) and do general list maintenance. For you, the recipient, it will be a transparent change whether you get your messages via TXMAIL or the internet.

The list is not a discussion forum. It's only an announcement list similar to@ACQUEST. Eventually Town Meeting announcements will only be posted in the new list. We will notify you of that date soon. If you would like to continue receiving Town Meeting announcements, here is what you need to do.

(1) Send a note to listproc@lists.cc.utexas.edu

(2) In the body of the message (not the subject), please write

subscribe town-meeting Your Name

where "Your Name" is your first and last name. No need to put your email address or signature. The server will automatically get that information from your note. Within a minute, you should receive a confirmation. Please read it and keep it for future reference. These instructions apply to *TXMAIL and internet users as well.
