Start on your UT WebSpace main view. (https://webspace.utexas.edu with your UT EID and password)

Step 1: Create a WWW Directory: (labeled WWW by convention)

(1) Click the "New Folder"
(2) Type "WWW" at Directory Name Window --> Click "OK"
Then, you can see "WWW" folder on your main view page.

Step 2: Make this folder visible to the Public:

(1) Click the "Share" icon on your "WWW" folder from your main view page.
(2) Click the "Change" menu
(3) Then, select "Yes" from "No" for only "Read" for "Public"
--> This process makes public can read your any files under this folder.
(4) Click"Apply Now" button.
Then, you can see the changed permission (check mark on Public--Read).

Step 3: Managing your WWW folder:

Just treat this folder like any other folder, which means that you can make several folders to manage your several projects,
and delete or change your files from this WWW folder.

But, Remember!
Anyone who visits this folder--WWW folder can see anything.
Which means, please do not upload your private files there.

Step 4: Check your Website

Your website address will be:

https://webspace.utexas.edu/~Your UT EID/(folder name, if you have)/HTML File name
--> Be careful! Starts with https, not http!

*** Caution !!
Some Computer systems, for example, UNIX, are "CASE SENSITIVE" and do not allow the space in File name.
PLEASE do NOT include "SPACE" in your file name. If you want to give more meaningful name with more than two words, please use "under_score" like this example.
