The Southwest Center for Accelerated Schools ELITE (SWACS): Providing Professional Development Opportunities

SWCAS ELITE is a Texas-based comprehensive school reform model providing local TEKS based technical assistance, primarily on-site, by creating and tailoring cost-effective training according to proven research-based techniques and the needs of your school.

 

How? The Accelerated Schools Process:

  • Provides on-site technical assistance by the University of Texas SWCAS staff.

  • Provides continuing education credit for teacher certification.
  • Provides a collaborative decision-making model for school reform.
  • Guides data gathering and analysis training for effective school assessment.
  • Trains staff on-site on how to conduct and analyze research-based solutions.
  • Promotes positive changes in school climate and culture.
  • Provides opportunities to promote and develop leadership
