Info/Edit Groups

Info/Edit Groups, which are displayed below each appointment, call and to do item, allow you to edit or get information about a particular event. Info/Edit Groups are enclosed in square brackets, and contain the symbols D, P (followed by a number), C (followed by a number), M (optional), E, and S or U. The paragraphs below explain the meanings behind these symbols.

"D" - Delete Entries

After you have entered an event, you may want to delete it.

To delete an event, click the "D" in the event's Info/Edit Group. The event will be permanently deleted and your calendar will be redrawn without the event.

Note: To delete Calls or To Do items from the Month View, click on the appropriate entry and you will see the Calls or To Do View screen. From this view, click the "D" in the event's Info/Edit Group.

"P#" - Priority

The priority level is a useful means of noting the importance of an event. If two or more events are scheduled for the same time and date, the event with the higher priority level will be listed first. The number listed after the "P" in the event's Info/Edit Group indicates its priority level.

"C#" - Confidentiality

The confidentiality level determines who may see an event listed on their calendar. When accounts are created, each user is given a confidentiality level. Users are able to view only those events that are at their confidentiality level or lower. The number listed after the "C" in the event's Info/Edit Group indicates its confidentiality level.

"M" - Memo

The optional Memo field may contain a more detailed description of the event, or other important information. This text will be linked to the "M" in the event's Info/Edit Group. If you do not enter additional text, the "M" will not be displayed. To access the Memo, click the "M" in the event's Info/Edit Group. To return to your calendar, click "Return to Calendar."

"E" - Edit Entries

After you have entered an event, you may want to alter some part of the entry.

To edit an event, click the "E" in the event's Info/Edit Group. The Edit View screen will appear and the current information about an event will be listed on the screen.

Note: To edit Calls or To Do items from the Month View, click on the appropriate entry and you will see the Calls or To Do View screen. From this view, click the "E" in the event's Info/Edit Group.

Using the pull down menus and the fill-in boxes, you may change the date on which the event occurs, the start or end times, the priority or confidentiality levels, the event description or the optional memo. You can also move the event to any other calendar for which you have write permissions. Once you have entered the information to your satisfaction, click the "Make Changes" button to enter the changes for the event and return to the screen you were viewing before entering Edit View. Click the "Cancel" button to cancel your changes and return to the screen you were previously viewing.

"S" - Strike / "U" - Unstrike

If you want to indicate that you have completed an event, but do not want to want to delete it, you may use the Strike feature.

To strike through an event, like this, click the "S" in the event's Info/Edit Group.

To unstrike an event, click the "U" in the event's Info/Edit Group.

Note: To strike or unstrike Calls or To Do items from the Month View, click on the appropriate entry and you will see the Calls or To Do View screen. From this view, click the "S" or the "U" in the event's Info/Edit Group.
