In My Abundant Free Time (IMAFT) I am a writer, specializing in technical and online documentation. I have used Emacs, Scribe, TeX/LaTeX, Troff, FrameMaker, WebMaker, Mac Word, and anything else that can be cajoled into formatting words onto a page.
My most recent publication is a collection of my Web-based Quick Reference Guides in a book called Ethernet Configuration Guidelines. I am also the author of a variety of documents about networks and of several articles, including one on Nikola Tesla, the inventor of the AC power generating and delivery system. I also wrote a chapter for the book UNIX Papers.
In an effort to give something back to the Net, I have written a number of documents that have been published on the Internet over the last several years. These include the Network Reading List, (first published in 1988 and updated several times thereafter), and several guides to Ethernet technology.
In February 1994 I created the Ethernet Web Page, which has become a repository for a wide range of Ethernet documents and other resources. In January 1995, I added a set of Quick Reference Guides to Ethernet to the Ethernet Web Page. One part of the Quick Reference Guides covers the original 10-Mbps Ethernet system and the other part covers the new 100-Mbps Fast Ethernet system.
