My apologies for removing direct links to my e-mail address from my web site.

To contact me type in the address listed below:

I've been receiving a ton of spam (aka unsolicited commercial E-mail) from all sorts of sources. Apparently these jerks use programs that automatically skim addresses out of sites. So I've taken steps to hide my E-mail address from search programs.

I enjoy the E-mail (mostly), but before you E-mail me:

1) Include the word "Granite" or "RGP" in the title, the junk filter in my E-mail program is good but not perfect.

2) Let me mention how sorry I am about how spotty my replies to E-mail have been recently.* I'm a bit overcommitted.

3) I have a list of links to people who understand stone care and cleaning more than I do.

4) www.altavista.com (or google.com) it can be much faster than waiting for me to reply to my E-mail and you'd be surprised how effective it can be for questions like "what do you know about Such-n-such Granite?"

5) No, thank you, I don't want to buy your granite, sell your granite, manage your quarry, or invest in your company.

I thought that last one was pretty clear, if a little snarky. But even simple statements like "Free Tibet" and "Stop eating all the endangered species" seem to go right by certain people, so I continue to get e-mails. Invariably with huge, terrible quality pictures attached. If they can't take a decent picture or write intelligibly in English, why would I want to have anything to do with these people? And if their toys and full of lead, what will their granites be full of? And what more do I have to say to get those Chinese censors to block my site? Unleash Chang Kia-Shek?

* in this case, "recently" is defined as "since 1997"
