Independence Rock is a granite exfoliation dome located in south-central Wyoming. It was a well known marker along the Oregon Trail and is supposed to be covered with paleo-tagging. Now it's a well known marker along a Wyoming highway.

Unfortunately on my visit there I was not in charge of the schedule, and I did not have time to climb to the top.
