Why join
us?
Meet people with the your same interests. Find out how
nutrition and wellness can benefit your everyday life and how to do that
efficiently. We hold volunteer events such as Race for the Cure, Capitol
Area Food Bank, and many more. Come out and help us make a difference.
We hold many social events for you to get to know other students. We
have held socials at Whole Foods, yogurt shops, and at various
restaurants. We have many new and exciting socials coming up for the
Fall semester.
Requirements to be a member are as
follows:
- Dues must be paid (cost is
below)
- Attendance to at least 6 events (meetings, volunteer event and/or social events) are required for a member to be considered active. They don't all have to be from one category, nor does there need to be a certain number of each event. As long as a member has 6 credits to their name and has paid their dues, they are considered active members of NWA.
These requirements must be met to run for an
officer position. Everyone is encouraged to participate more than the
minimum requirements.
$ Dues
- $30 for one
year (Fall and Spring semesters) including a shirt!
- $25 for one semester with a shirt
- $10 for a semester without a shirt
- $15 for a shirt
Please pay your dues as soon as possible. Dues will
be due on 10-18-10. To pay, please give your dues to our treasurer,

Volunteering Policy
-
You must attend the full event
in order to receive credit unless you talk to the community chair and
receive special permission.
- You must make cancellations 24
hours ahead of time unless there is an emergency that can be documented
or proven in some way.
- If you do not cancel within 24 hours of
the event, you will be deducted a volunteer credit. This means you have
to make up the event for which you missed.
Social
Policy
- You must stay 30 minutes in order to receive social
credit.
