Developed graphic theme and provided project art direction. Created production schedule and met deadline. Developed and produced sections of original content including student videos. Oversaw project programming and optimization. Conducted client liaison with executive sign-off group, department heads, and deans. Oversaw CD duplication and jacket printing. PRODUCER/ART DIRECTOR CORTEX COMMUNICATIONS, INC.
Austin, Texas, 1995 to 1997


Produced multimedia projects, prototypes, and demos. Projects included Cortex demo, Exploring America's Past, a four-CD-ROM cross-platform middle school curriculum for Holt, Rinehart and Winston (HRW), and Language Workshop,a seven-CD-ROM cross-platform English grammar curriculum, grades 6-12, for HRW. Responsibilities included:
ART DIRECTOR Exploring America's Past: Directed three staff artists designing interface, navigation icons, component backgrounds, interactive maps and simulations, and production for 1200 permissioned images. Conducted all graphic sign-off interaction with client.
QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER Exploring America's Past: Managed and coordinated team of eight to test Mac and PC platform for functionality and consistency in content and programming.
PRODUCTION MANAGER Language Workshop: Set up and managed permissions, art, and audio departments as well as visualization teams. Supervised staff of twelve. Created and implemented systems to filename and track media assets. Click to see expanded job description.


LOCATION MANAGER/LOCATION SCOUT SELF-EMPLOYED
Texas, 1992 to 1995


Conducted research for feature films, commercials, music videos, and still shoots. Scouted and photographed locations. Negotiated and managed location contracts, permits, and arranged security. Productions included: Texas Rangers, A Perfect World, Flesh and Bone,and commericals for Dell Computer and Mazda Truck.


ASSISTANT DIRECTOR TEXAS FILM COMMISSION
Austin, Texas, 1984 to 1992


MARKETING/PROMOTION Marketed the state of Texas at the Sundance Film Festival. Participated in the New York Independent Feature Project Market and the LA EXPO. Made annual sales calls to film studio heads in Los Angeles and New York. Responsible for advertising in film trade magazines. Represented Texas at speaking engagements.
FILM PRODUCTION Created script breakdowns. Scouted, photographed, and secured locations. Researched historic period, architecture, climate, geography, and crops. Referred crew, equipment, and production facilities. Co-created 5000-image Texas locations photo library. Productions included: The Trip to Bountiful, True Stories, Born on the Fourth of July, Hot Spot, Nadine, Texasville, JFK, Wild at Heart, D.O.A.,and commercials for Guess Jeans, Marlboro, and Coors.


PRODUCTION MANAGER MIRAGE FILM GRAPHICS & COMPUTER ANIMATION

Co-produced 35mm film animation segments and graphic ID's. Supervised three production artists creating cel animation and computer-generated graphics. Marketed via print advertising.
