FIFTY YEARS OF HARVARD YEARBOOK Welcome to the 50 Years of Harvard Yearbook
home page. A special thanks to everyone who came to
Cambridge in October to dedicate the new Yearbook building
and Party
like it's 1999. An even more special thanks to
everyone who came back to the 50th Birthday Party in June to finish what
we started and share the
Aardvark Birthday Cake. This was the inaugural event
for an annual Yearbook Alumni Gathering in Cambridge each
June, so plan on being there. If you haven't seen the
article Craig Lambert '69 wrote about the Yearbook for
Harvard Magazine, you must read "Hell's
Aardvarks" at 50. If you like historical artifacts,
check out the "hot" new items that just
went up in the Shadowbox
Gallery. In addition to the new "Norman White" in
the Aardvark Art Gallery, we
have recently uncovered the first ever Yearbook Aardvark
drawing. The team of celebrated paleontologists from
the Harvard Peabody Museum that volunteered
to assist with the restoration work are telling us
this could be bigger than
"Sue". The Radcliffe Register Legend
Gallery is still a fun place to look around and pretty soon
we will open a new Gallery dedicated to Cambridge 38.
I'll bet that you had no idea that the original planning
title for Cambridge 38 was "Harvard
Aardvark". If you want to
see the new Yearbook Building, a new history
of Yearbook Buildings
Gallery is open. And for
those with an appetite for obscure and delicious humor, the Yearbook Factbook is
full of anecdotes. Your contributions are always
welcome here. ENJOY!
