COURTYARD This is a view of the courtyard, looking from the south. The courtyard is a grassy area located between the 1905 and 1907 buildings. It is surrounded by bushes on the west side, flowers and a fence on the north and east sides, and a tree on the south side (you can see the leaves near the top of the picture). The courtyard is another favorite studying and socializing place, especially in the fall, spring, and summer when the weather is nice. Benches, tables, chairs, a barbecue, and a swing are kept in the courtyard and are available for use by residents at all times. By the way, the courtyard and other parts of the Laurel House grounds are maintained by house labor. The courtyard has also been the location of several house parties in the past.
