The Library Catalog

Basic Search

The Basic Search allows you to find a particular item by its title, subject, author or classification number.

Advanced Search

The Advanced Search allows you to find a number of ways. In addition to searching for keywords in the major fields of the catalog records, you can use natural language queries such as "Find all the music by Romance composers recorded in the last ten years." The catalog's expert system acts as your personal reference librarian, identifying the items you need and suggesting related material that may also be of interest.

Browse Search

The catalog's Browse feature lets you look through the virtual shelves of the library and find "nearby" materials in terms of not only the call number but title and author as well.
