THE TEACHER

The teacher viewed her rooky class,

With eleven ladies eager . . .

They yearned to write with all their might

This class. . . it did intrigue her

This charming teacher shared herself

With wisdom and a bell

For when the ladies misbehaved,

She'd ring it - oh too well!

Thesaufus Lady came in handy

If teacher lost a word

While ending thoughts and filling gaps

Nothing was deferred!

The teacher tried to be the boss

As hard as it all seemed

It couldn't really happen, though

the group, it had a 'Queen'.

The Ladies laughed until they cried

'bout frocks stuck way, way up

then there was that old-age clock

With time and dongs fed up.

In the end we cried goodbye

As writers we were one

The teacher she had tuaght us well

We left with books begun.

We waved goodbye to teacher

She couldn't wave farewell

Her arms hung stiffly at her side

She had over-waved the bell!
