If you are interested in exploring issues of social group identity,
conflict, community, and social justice with other students, sign up
for an intergroup dialogue. Each dialogue involves identity groups
defined by race, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation. Dialogues
have 12-14 students, balanced by identity groups and are facilitated
by trained students. You will explore similarities and differences
among and across groups and work toward building a multicultural
and just community. Students receive 2 credits through Educational
Psychology 210. Students are required to complete assigned readings,
write weekly journals, and complete a final paper, as well as actively
attend and participate in class.
The Intergroup Dialogues offered include:
- Women and Men
- People of Color and White People
- Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Heterosexual Dialogue
