The Canon FT features Canon's QL (Quick-Load) system, TTL metering, accessory shoe, battery tester, depth of field preview, film speed settings from 25 to 2000 ASA, self timer, cable release socket, and tripod socket. This was Canon's first camera to offer TTL (through-the-lens) metering. Other than the f1.4, 50 mm lens, it was also sold with either an f1.8, 50 mm or an f1.2, 58 mm lens; it also accepts all Canon FL series lenses. The lens mount is threaded for 58 mm filters. At about 2 pounds this is a heavy camera.
