Birds of the Dead Man's Basin, 1975-1988

Recorded by Sirpa & Bob Harms on the Hurlbut Ranch West,
including Dead Man's Canyon (Hays Co., TX).

The bird records provided here were made between Nov. 1975 and April 1988 for much of the Hurlbut Ranch West, including occasional outings along Dead Man's Canyon. The area, which includes the full range of hill-country habitats, drains into Dead Man's Creek for some three miles before entering the Pedernales River downstream from Pedernales Falls State Park.

The number of birds recorded was 237 (including rare sightings). These have been presented on five separate pages, arbitrarily organized into groups (to facilitate downloading):
