Things I like include football (especially the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns), baseball (Chicago Cubs!), Science Fiction in virtually any form - TV shows, books, magazines, movies, games - Rock & Roll music, Jazz, Texas, almost any physical science (especially Astronomy), comedy, food and my wonderful wife.
I work for ACITS (the Academic Computing and Instructional Technology Services department, formerly known as the Computation Center) at the University of Texas at Austin. I'm one of the system administrators for the ACITS Unix computers, and some of the departmental Unix systems on campus. In addition to the normal operating system upgrades and software installations, I also work at the Unix appointment help desk, and help my coworkers handle system problems as they crop up.
