SupportThe College of Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin is one of the leading research institutions in the country. It is consistently ranked among the top fifteen graduate engineering colleges in the nation. The Graduate Engineering Council (GEC) is an organization of graduate engineering students that provides valuable educational and leadership opportunities to the graduate community in our college. The GEC was formed in 1970. Over the past three decades, the organization has greatly expanded its role, establishing itself as the representative body for graduate students in the College of Engineering. Our organization has two main directives: representing graduate student concerns to the faculty and administration and conducting programs that support the well being of students. The GEC is also involved in social and networking activities on the campus such as picnics and student-faculty lunches. The GEC is now planning to expand its activities. We request your financial support to maintain and improve our services to the graduate student body. A response form is linked to this page to help identify areas that need support. Several different methods of support available are listed on the response form. Publicity will be given in various ways for all support received, such as public acknowledgement, a one-year link on our Corporate Supporters Web Page, and the opportunity to have your company logo on event banners and advertisements. If your company is interested in providing support for an event, meeting, or scholarship please fill out and submit the response form, indicating the event that you wish to support and the amount of support you wish to provide.
