| JavaScript | Very strong knowledge of the JavaScript programming language. 1 year experience coding and teaching JavaScript [including teaching JavaScript to appointed instructors of javascript] on the UT Campus. See examples off of my home page. |
| Java | Very good knowledge of Java and OO. Involved with studying and developing in Java since its inception. One of two persons selected to attend the first JavaOne conference in San Francisco among 200 programmers on the UT IS Staff. | Perl | Good fluency and knowledge of Perl. Use several perl packages to write CGI scripts with Database Connectivity. |
| w3-msql, PHP/FI | Developing database-enabled web on-line applications using either w3-msql or PHP/FI. Learned w3-msql in one half day. Picked up PHP/FI in no time as well. |
| SSI/XSSI | Enabled SSI/XSSI on apache web server and learned how to use it to do basic server-side includes in a couple of hours. |
| C | Good fluency in C including strong understanding of basic c concepts and syntax. Do not know C++. |
| Assembly | I have long ago programmed in assembly, mainly as parts of university courses. Have in the past learned the assembly language for the motorola 68000 family of microprocessors. Also have learned basic RISC assembly language programming. |
| SysAdmin: | Good systems administration skills on Unix systems (Digital Unix, Linux). Have maintained mail, news, http and other servers. Have set up other basic unix services, automated the startup of processes, set up dns servers, used a variety of unix utilities, diagnosed and maintained systems. |
| Apache/Stronghold httpd | Was WebMaster of a Stronghold/Apache web server with about a dozen virtual hosts. Good understanding of installation/upgrade of web server software; good understanding of httpd directives and httpd configuration files. |
| Netscape FastTrack and Enterprise Server 2.0 | Installed, maintained, and customized Netscape Enterprise Servers on DEC Alpha machines. Strong current knowledge of this product. Developed NSAPI code for authentication system. |
| SSL, Digital ID's, PGP | Have learned how to enable SSL on a web server, obtaining digital certificates, basic knowledge of PGP. |

| RDBMS's in general | Strong and fluent knowledge of SQL. Have used Oracle, MS Access, mSQL. Can confidently install an RDBMS, develop Entity Relationship Diagrams, setup the relational tables and program them into a coherent system. |

| Unix: Linux, Digital Unix | Have been a user and sysadmin on a Linux server since February 1997. Quickly ramping up but still learning a lot. |
| Win95 | Extremely efficient/productive desktop user on Win95 platform. |
| WinNT | Have installed a WinNT-based LAN and familiar with 3.51's Win3.1-style and 4.0's Win95-style user interfaces. Still need to learn how the registry works. |
| MacOS | Very familiar with the MacOS as a desktop user and systems administrator. |
| Hardware: | Completed courses and labs in computer architecture, logic design, microcomputer interfacing & data acquisition. Installed an ethernet Local Area Network. Upgraded personal computer's motherboard, video cards, modem cards, DRAM SIMMS, and troubleshooted IRQ conflicts. |
| Software Packages: | Proficient in using productivity software like the MS Office suites (spreadsheet, word processors, and presentation software). Have gone as far as customizing ms word using ms's WordBasic programming language. Also used to be very proficient in AutoCAD. Proficient in using internet suites including presenting advanced features of MS Frontpage. |
