Education Council

Purpose:
To promote cordial student-faculty relations; to develop among the education students a sense of belonging; to initiate or assist in the improvement of academic standards through the investigation of problems in curriculum, facilities, teaching excellence and administration; to foster effective communications with the college and to provide a sounding board for the student suggestions and problems.

Membership:
Willingness and time to work; registered in UT Austin's College of Education; 2.5 GPA

Functions:
Help with pre-registration; newsletter each semester; most outstanding student teacher award; Teacher Excellence Award; Education Week; student-staff-faculty Christmas party, participate in Forty Acres Fest; Longhorn Halloween.
