Creative Research Laboratory is a site for contemporary art and design, providing a year-round schedule of exhibitions and community programming by students and faculty in the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Texas at Austin. Located at 2832 East Martin Luther King, Jr. in Austin, Texas, Creative Research Laboratory fosters collaboration among students, faculty, visiting artists, alumni, and the broader community to provide innovative educational experiences.

Become InvolvedCreative Research Laboratory is housed within the programmatic structure of the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Texas at Austin. It is a long-awaited opportunity for the Department to provide exhibition, programming and outreach space for its students, faculty, and visiting artists, and to present year-round visual art and educational programs for the broader community. You can contribute to the ongoing success of Creative Research Laboratory exhibitions and programs through gifts of cash, services, and your time. Become an InternThe exhibitions and programs of the Creative Research Laboratory are made possible to a large extent by a dedicated staff of interns, who help with installation, publicity, educational events, and receptions. The year-long internship begins in August and requires approximately ten hours of service per week.
