"It has been said that 'design is [a way of] making sense of things' and this may ultimately be the best way to define such an all-encompassing practice. Students studying in this program are taught to observe and respond to the cultural, socio/economic, material, political, geographic and temporal environments. These are the ethical designers of the future, who will imbue our environments with depth, texture and meaning." The University of Texas at Austin, Design class of 2009 presents this senior exhibition as the culmination of their three-years of study. Visitors will experience a variety of projects grappling with issues from body image to historical homage, from philosophical introspection to global crises.
