Austin Collage Apparel, Fall 2006
serigraph prints on T-shirt

Places can often be identified by landmarks and symbols. Naturally, visiting a new place can leave an impression on one's mind. To create a souvenir that represents Austin, I challenged myself to construct a graphic collage derived from elements identifiable to both visitors and residents of Austin, Texas. It was essential for this design to be structurally interesting but still have each of the elements identifiable. I chose to display my design on a t-shirt for its charmingly tactile qualities and for its ability to extend beyond the geographical boundaries and continue t oexist in people's daily lives.
