The goal of this project was to create a portrait of my classmate. Rather than risk inaccurately or shallowly portraying her based on her likes and dislikes, I wanted to somehow let her speak for herself. By filming and interviewing my subject, I captured the gestures and facial expressions that often say more abuot a person than her words. This body language is captured in the form of flash cards, with images of the subject accompanied by "translations" of what her facial expressions mean.
