Corrugated Plastic Beach Tote

Experiments with corrugated plastic led to the creation of this beach tote. The plastic was cut in a variety of ways. By slitting the plastic between the walls in an alternating front-back pattern, the rigid plastic was transformed into a stretchy material. By experimenting with different cutting patterns, the form seen in the beach tote was developed. This pattern allowed the material to stretch far beyond its original size. The beach tote was made as a practical use for the stretchy plastic.
