In my piece for the show Grid, I explore the standard building dimension of four by eight feet. Drawing from my recent trip to my former home of Los Angeles, I attempted to make an autobiographical piece referring to the various signage and billboard construction dotting the Hollywood Hills. There is an overt notion and message in this advertising of conspicuous consumption that often leaves one wanting for more. More goods, more clothing, more food, more homes, more riches, more…feet.
