I am interested in sculpture that stands as a witness, something that
provokes the imagination, and lies just beyond the comprehensible. I strive for my work to be a meeting point of different meanings, and a point of departure unique to each viewer. This piece I see as an occupant of this particular space, a space no longer physically inhabitable by the viewer. I wanted to suggest intimate personal spaces in this piece, both physical and psychological. Through this piece I meant to reflect back onto the possible experience of one within a specific space whether it be in the tangible or intangible elements that comprise our daily experience.
