Recent work by students in the
Visual Art Studies Division of the
Department of Art and Art History at the University of Texas at Austin

Beginning Thursday, November 3, Creative Research
Laboratory presents Artists and Future Art Teachers, an
exhibition of recent work by over thirty undergraduate and
graduate students in the Visual Arts Studies division of the
Department of Art and Art History at the University of
Texas.
The students from the Visual Arts Studies program are
preparing for careers as art teachers and museum
educators, as well as other leadership roles in art
education. Artists and Future Art Teachers is held in
conjunction with the Texas Art Education Association's
annual state conference for art teachers held at the Austin
Convention Center November 3-6.
The reception for Artists and Future Art Teachers will be held at the Creative Research Laboratory from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, November 3. The exhibit will be on display through November 25.
Creative Research Laboratory presents a year-round schedule of exhibitions of work by students and faculty at the University
of Texas at Austin, and also facilitates workshops, performances, demonstrations, seminars and collaborations.
Creative Research Laboratory is located in East Austin at 2832 East Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, inside Flatbed World
Headquarters. There is ample free parking and bus service available on Capitol Metro's route 18. The activities of the Department
of Art and Art History and the Creative Research Laboratory are free and open to the public.
