Virtual Play Space
The lack of physical space in the world for children to play in has contributed to the "virtual play space" of the video game world becoming more important. This set of stickers attempts to bring some of these virtual spaces into the physical world to liven up places and things usually regarded as dull and routine.

Retro v. Nostalgia and the Nerd Culture
The 8-bit Nintendo images selected for the stickers are meant to evoke a sense of nostalgia in those who can relate to being a product of this generation of tech-savvy kids brought up on games. Those who may recognize the images but might not share the same feelings may experience a sense of retro in them, based on memories alone. Either way, the reaction is all that is important, allowing them a brief distraction, a bit of play in an unexpected place.
