The Interplay
Fall 2003

This bench was a result of a semester-long study of social interaction to public spaces and how to provoke that interaction. One person can utilize the bench, but when there is more than one patron, they must all be aware of each other's comfort in order to have the most pleasant experience. In this way, The Interplay is a metaphor for our society and the idea that we work best when working for the good of the individual.
