Chinese tattoos and artifacts have grown more and more popular over
the past few years, where every American teen, college student, or person,
can instantly become more "cultured" by having the word "strength" tattooed
or displayed in their home in the form of a Chinese character. However,
what happens to the meaning of a character or word, when the wearer
or even the audience only knows the meaning by what they are told it
means. For instance, the UT football fan who believes he's wearing the
chinese character "longhorn" on his hat, when the character actually
says "cow". And so, I created faux Chinese characters created from english
characters that actually read derogatory messages.
