Organization’s Official Purpose: To provide an open forum that encourages student morale, self-care and community through formal and informal activities that foster academic and clinical training goals governed by policies of the University of Texas at Austin and American Psychological Association.
Membership Requirements: Student must be actively enrolled in the Counseling Psychology or Counseling MEd program at the University of Texas-Austin.
Brief statement of major activities or special interests: Seek to provide resources and host activities (e.g. guest speakers, research forums, and policy discussions) that encourage personal and professional success of Counseling Psychology program students. Special interests include: (1) Adequate dissemination of information, which includes but is not limited to, maintenance of CPSA web site, announcements of guest speakers and related activities, distribution of program and APA policies/ expectations, (2) Representatives present for faculty and/ or student sponsored meetings that impact student life experiences and/or that help elucidate Counseling Psychology program policies.
