We are very busy this fall semester. All four of us are in school.

• Nathaniel is in the 8th grade at Cedar Valley Middle School (CeVMS).
• Sheridan is in the 6th grade also at CeVMS.
• David is taking two classes at Austin Community College (ACC).
• Carolyn is finishing the last of her required courses at the University of Texas at Austin.
  

The kids are both participating in soccer (Town and Country Optimists Soccer Association) this semester which means the "soccer taxis" are in full use. Nathan and Sheridan are in the process of getting braces. Nathan had to have oral surgery to remove 7 teeth (4 impacted, 3 out) on Sept. 7. He is recuperating remarkably quickly. Sheridan will be getting her braces on Sept. 21, 2000. She was looking forward to it until she started to realize the pain involved, but she's a trooper and will be able to commiserate with her friends.

Lucy was spayed on Friday, Sept. 8, so no cute Beagle puppies here. There are enough dogs and cats out there already needing a home and we have no interest in going into the pet breeding business. Our two cats (Beans and Scrunchy) have enjoyed the summer trips to Meemo and Pop's house (they hate the drive, but love watching the wildlife and activities at the "lake house").
