I am currently pursuing a PhD in Materials Science & Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. Working under the guidance of Prof. Arumugam Manthiram, my research explores the complex role of hybrid (organic-inorganic) interfaces on the efficiency and stability of photovoltaic devices and lithium ion batteries. The theoretical aspects of my research explore the fundamentals of electrical charge separation phenomena at these interfaces using a combination of device characterization and spectroscopic techniques. Practically, they lead to stable hybrid solar cells and improved lithium ion batteries.

I plan to graduate in May 2012 and am currently searching for a post-doctoral position. While academic pursuits dominate my life, I find time to write or dream about science fiction whenever I can. I strongly believe what is science fiction today, will soon become our reality!
