IMAGERY:

Imagery is the formation of a mental picture by learners to help them remember infomration. Imagery aids in recall of information of high and low structure.

Imagery works best with concrete information.

An example of imagery in Multimedia Best Practices is entitled Enhancing the Study of Foreign Language with Technology: A CD-ROM and Companion Website for First Year French. The opening graphic leaves a lasting impression of the similarities between Texas and France. Another example is entitled Electronic Publishing in the Technical Communications Classroom. The graphics forms a mental picture of the engineering concept.
