This is a clone of the original Estes kit. My version has all of the standard mid-power upgrades though; 29mm MMT, plywood fiberglassed fins, payload bay, rail buttons. I might just have to make this my dual-deployment testbed vehicle.

I think this hanger queen is about due for it's maiden flight. I managed to drop it the other day and broke a fin. I repaired it in time to take it to a launch only to discover that I'd forgotten the cap for the motor retainer. Now I've gotten an altimeter and battery installed in the payload bay and I have no excuses for not launching this one at the next launch.

Optima Flights (1)
Date Flight #Motors Motor ISP Description
2/21/2004921G64-10W RMS120Maiden flight for my potential L1 rocket. My first altimeter flight also. Launched it off the 16' rail. Great flight but headed into the wind near apogee. The delay was a little long and the parachute a little small but it survived the landing. It's next flight should be on a H128 for my L1.
Total ISP: 120 newton-seconds
Average ISP: 120.00 newton-seconds
