- It is assumed that Nancy deceased sometime between the birth of son Arnold in 1839 and the marriage of Stephen A. to Sarah Ann Hardesty in 1842 since it is reported that marriage ceremony was performed by a Catholic priest. - Marriage Genealogy reports that Nancy was a cousin of Stephen A.'s second wife, Sarah Ann Hardesty. - Some sources do not report this spouse of Stephen.
