This Saturday (November 8th), we will be holding our final Saturday Marathon of this semester (WEL 1.316, 7:00 PM). We will be showing the entire Onegai Teacher (Please Teacher) series. We showed the first four episodes of this last Spring during the special pre-release screening Saturday Marathon; if you don't want to watch the first four over again, we should be starting episode 5 around 8:30, so you can show up then and watch the rest of the series. The showing will run until around 12:30.

The Hallowe'en Cosplay Contest will be held this Friday. Everyone, be sure to come in costume! Prizes will be awarded. The contest will take place during the Break (starting at approx. 8:30).

This Friday is also a special Movie Night. We will be showing the Boogiepop and Others live-action movie (starting at around 10 PM). Based on the original novel in the Boogiepop series, this is the live-action prequel to the Boogiepop Phantom TV anime that we showed last year. (You need not have seen the anime to enjoy the movie.)

We have learned that our usual room (WEL 1.316) will not be available for the Saturday Marathon on October 25th; instead, we will be holding that Saturday Marathon in WEL 2.246. Only the showing on the 25th is affected; all of our normal showings, as well as the other Saturday Marathons (including this Saturday's showing) will be held in the normal room, WEL 1.316.
— James, 2003-10-16

We have the option of holding a showing on the 11th (next Friday), but our normal room is not available that night due to exams, and the only room that is available has earned a reputation in the past for being less than adequate for our needs. We will be soliciting opinions on whether or not to hold a showing that night at the July 4th meeting, so if you have an opinion on the matter, be sure to show up and be heard.
