Anime Club Showing: May 1, 1998
The Anime Club at UT Austin will continue the Spring semester's showings
on May 1, 1998 at 7 pm in Welch 1.316.
The showing is free and open to the public.
Please keep in mind that showing schedules are tentative, and are
always subject to some changes. Programs are not necessarily listed here
in the order they will be shown.
Unless otherwise noted, all scheduled programs are subtitled in English.
On the program are:
- Rurouni Kenshin #61, 62, & 63
- Again, the Web Slave has no idea where the series is at this point.
- Library Break
- Weird stuff gets shown during the library break, for those people who
aren't checking out tapes... Sometimes South Park, sometimes
Babylon 5, sometimes weirder stuff.
This week, we'll probably be putting on Sailor Stars #5,
unless somebody brings something more interesting.
This week, there are no check-outs, only check-ins. Thus, the library
break will be rather short.
- Magic Knight Rayearth #18
- Rayearth is getting closer and closer to the end of the
first series... This is the point where the animation quality and the plot
start to improve markedly.
Next week, the last two eps of Rayearth's first season will be shown. Even
if you don't like the show, watch those last two eps. They're a doozy.
- Martian Successor Nadesico #17
- Another show that the web slave doesn't know about! ^_^;
- Vision of Escaflowne #25 & 26
- LAST TWO EPISODES
Be there or wait until next semester to check out the tapes.
- I'll Make A Habit Of It #1
- Cross-dressing magical girls? Andy Da Library Guy says that this
series is like a cross between Ranma and Child's Toy, so prepare for total
lunacy if you stay this late.
All members of the university and local community are welcome to
attend this presentation of the latest and greatest in Japanese
animation. The showing will run until roughly midnight, so please come
when you can. We look forward to having you there!
