Anime Club Showing: April 17, 1998
The Anime Club at UT Austin will continue the Spring semester's showings
on April 17, 1998 at 7 pm in Welch 1.316.
The showing is free and open to the public.
Please keep in mind that showing schedules are tentative, and are
always subject to some changes. Programs are not necessarily listed here
in the order they will be shown.
Unless otherwise noted, all scheduled programs are subtitled in English.
On the program are:
- Variable Geo #1
- Based on a series of fighting video games, the Variable
Geo OVA series has strong character designs, good animation,
and....
waitresses?
- Rurouni Kenshin #57 and #58
- Again, the Web Slave has no idea where the series is at this point.
- Library Break
- Weird stuff gets shown during the library break, for those people who
aren't checking out tapes... Sometimes South Park, sometimes
Babylon 5, sometimes weirder stuff.
This week, we'll probably be putting on Sailor Stars #4,
unless somebody brings something more interesting.
- Magic Knight Rayearth #15
- Rayearth is getting closer and closer to the end of the
first series... This is the point where the animation quality and the plot
start to improve markedly.
- Vision of Escaflowne #23
- Escaflowne begins to draw to a close, too.
- Fushigi Yuugi OVA series II, #2
- The second OVA series continues.
- Martian Successor Nadesico #15
- Nadesico may get bumped due to time constraints.
All members of the university and local community are welcome to
attend this presentation of the latest and greatest in Japanese
animation. The showing will run until roughly midnight, so please come
when you can. We look forward to having you there!
