Anime Club Showing: April 10, 1998

The Anime Club at UT Austin will continue the Spring semester's showings on April 10, 1998 at 7 pm in Welch 1.316. The showing is free and open to the public.

Please keep in mind that showing schedules are tentative, and are always subject to some changes. Programs are not necessarily listed here in the order they will be shown.

Unless otherwise noted, all scheduled programs are subtitled in English.

On the program are:

Rurouni Kenshin #54,55,56

Kenshin is the only thing we're showing on the 10th that isn't from DVD or LaserDisc, since the LDs haven't come out yet in Japan.

Library Break

Weird stuff gets shown during the library break, for those people who aren't checking out tapes... Sometimes South Park, sometimes Babylon 5, sometimes weirder stuff.
This week, we may or may not be showing the Kenshin special, Tenchi Muyou extras from DVD, and other bits and pieces.

Tenchi Muyou: Manatsu no Eve

Tenchi Muyou: Midsummer's Eve (aka Daughter of Darkness) will be shown from DVD. This is the second Tenchi movie.

Magic Knight Rayearth #15

Rayearth is the first of the items which will be subtitled live at the showing, fresh from LD.

Martian Successor Nadesico #14

We will also be subtitling Nadesico live.

Vision of Escaflowne #22

And ditto with Escaflowne. This is a show that deserves to be seen from LaserDisc, as it's an entirely different experience.

All members of the university and local community are welcome to attend this presentation of the latest and greatest in Japanese animation. The showing will run until roughly midnight, so please come when you can. We look forward to having you there!
