On the program are:

• CRAYON SHIN-CHAN (unsubtitled episode)
  In three parts. Part one chronicles Shinnosuke's adventures on a REALLY hot day (REALLY REALLY hot!). In part two we'll see how well Shin-chan can draw, and find out what his mom thinks of otaku. Finally, in part three, Shin-chan gets to go to a comiket-like affair, where he finds out about the evils of costuming, and gets to meet his favorite TV star -- ACTION KAMEN! Don't miss the hilariously poorly animated adventures of the world's worldliest and brattiest brat. (30 min) --CDS

• LUPIN III: CASTLE CAGLIOSTRO (subtitled in English)
  once again we start the semester with one of the classics by master animator Hayao Miyazaki. This film, praised by no less than Steven Spielberg as one of the best animated films ever made, relates another adventure of the gentleman thief Lupin III, great grandson of the famous French thief Arsene Lupin.
  Together with his associates, the master marksman Jigen Daisuke, errant samurai Goemon Ishikawa, and the curvaceous Fujiko Mine, he invades the tiny European dominion of Cagliostro, ruled by the evil Count. Although Lupin is searching for the source of the famous "Goat bills", excellent counterfeit money, he is distracted by the lovely princess Clarice, who has been imprisoned and is being forced to wed the Count, and who has met Lupin once before... • YOU'RE UNDER ARREST #1 [Taiho Shichauzo] (subtitled in English)
  These are the misadventures of two Tokyo Police traffic officers, Natsumi and Miyuki. In this episode, it's Natsumi's first day at work, and the two of them get off to a bad but hilarious start. It's worth watching! (30 min) --WHY

• DIRTY PAIR: FLIGHT 005 CONSPIRACY (subtitled in English)
  It's those two troublesome trouble consultants of the 3WA, Kei and Yuri, codenamed the "Lovely Angels", again. This time, they're sent to investigate the mysterious disappearance of Flight 005, but before long they're knee-deep in conspiracy, bodies, and destruction. Perhaps that is why they are called the "Dirty Pair"... behind their backs! (30 min) --WHY

So if you're interested in seeing some great animation with some truly diverse stories, check out the Anime Club free showing, open to all Friday January 20, from 7pm to midnite, in Engineering teaching Center room 2.108. For those not familiar with UT, the ETC building is located near 26th and Speedway, the main entrance right on the north side of the 26th street bridge.
